Patrol

The Camas Police Department Patrol Division is currently comprised of 19 officers.

Camas officers take pride in the level of service they are able to provide the community (the department motto is “No Call Too Small”) and in their performance, especially:

  • Proactively seeking out criminal activity. Don’t be surprised to see an officer in your neighborhood checking why a garage door is open or a car door ajar in the middle of the night. We’re trying to protect your property and catch bad guys.
  • Aggressively pursuing traffic complaints and concerns. Neighborhood speeding is one of the top complaints and we operate the stationary trailers that display the speed of passing motorists as well as vigorously pursue violator enforcement. The Police Department also aggressively pursues drivers who violate school bus stop signs.
  • DUI enforcement. In addition to enforcement on a daily basis, the Police Department also participates in regional traffic safety emphasis patrols.
  • As well as the myriad of service calls that we respond to from the unlocking of automobiles, to helping you find your missing dog.

We encourage citizens to approach officers with questions or concerns they may have. Working together, we can make Camas an even better place to live.

We strive to make Camas a safe community.
