City Council

City Council Meetings
City Council Meetings are held the first and third Monday of the month in the City Hall Council Chambers, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas, from 7:00 p.m. until adjournment.

  • PUBLIC COMMENTS
At the beginning of each meeting the Mayor asks the audience if there are any items of concern by the public. If there are items the public wishes to bring to Council in advance that will take longer than five minutes, it is preferred the citizen present this topic to the City Administrator so he can schedule it into the regular meeting.
  • AGENDA
An agenda is created for each meeting and posted at the Library, U.S. Postal Office and in the main lobby of City Hall as early as the Thursday before each meeting.
  • MINUTES
Each Council meeting is recorded (a copy of the recording can be purchased from the Finance Department for .50 cents per CD after completing a "Request for Public Records" form). Minutes of each meeting are also transcribed, approved by Council and maintained in the Finance Department. These minutes contain general meeting information and record specific actions taken by the Council.

City Council Workshop sessions are held the first and third Monday of the month in the City Hall Council Chambers, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas, from 4:30 p.m. until adjournment.

  • The public is welcome to attend workshop sessions, but must refrain from comment until the end of the meeting.
