The City of Camas is seeking enthusiastic individuals with a strong interest in community design to serve on the City’s Design Review Committee.
The Camas 2035 Plan adopted in June of 2016 is a 20-year Comprehensive Plan that established a community vision/roadmap with goals and policies on how we want to live, work, learn and play well into the future. With this roadmap in hand, the Design Review Committee provides a critical link between new or redevelopment and the longer and broader vision for our City’s future.
The Design Review Committee is involved in reviewing specific development proposals for compliance with adopted principles and guidelines. The committee reviews are typically required for new commercial buildings, mixed use and multi-family developments and address design elements such as building materials, orientation, landscaping, massing and compatibility with surrounding areas. The Design Review Committee meets as needed (a few times each year) and is a recommending body on design related issues.
If you are interested in serving on the Design Review Committee, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief description of your interest, together with your name, address and phone number by 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 10, 2016.
