The Camas Wellness Festival is a Resource for Empowering Families within the Community of Camas and surrounding areas with a full day of events, talks, interactive dance and yoga in various Camas business locations, Saturday, October 13th from 10am – 5pm. The festival is a collaboration between several 501 c3 nonprofits serving Mothers and Families in Camas and the surrounding area: Dance Evolution, MOMS Club of Camas/ Washougal, Camas Public Library and Embody Love Movement. Erika Levy, who serves on the Executive Board of MOMS Club of Camas, is also the founder of Empress Yoga, specializing in yoga for girls, women, infants and children. She joined forces with Aspen Tufares, the Founder of Dance Evolution, to create ‘The Embody Love and Dance Program,’ which offers FREE community classes for girls between the ages of 12 - 18. The program will include dance and yoga classes that empower girls to be confident, strong, kind and compassionate.
Kimberly Berry brings with her over 20 years of corporate, non-profit, and small business experience to the festival, as Producer and Host of the Adolescent Mental Health Summit taking place at The Camas Public Library. Kimberly Berry is the founder of Being UnNormal, a consulting and advocacy group that assists parents navigating the world of mental health through a peer support model. She is also the host of the podcast Being UnNormal, which explores issues within the mental health community with a specific emphasis on children’s mental health issues. “My mission was to provide education on a variety of topics our children and adolescents are facing in today's world,” says Berry, “My hope is to empower parents to understand the emotional challenges our youth face from a mental health perspective.”
