Business
Licenses
The City of Camas does not currently
require Business Licenses. However, should you
have a business located within your home and your
home is located in the City Limits of Camas, you
may be required to get a Home Occupational Permit
(also called a Conditional Use Permit). For more
information on this, see Solicitation.
If you are planning on doing any soliciting (door-to-door
or cold calling sales) you will need to obtain
a solicitors license. For more specific information
please review Camas
Municipal Code 5.24.
Building
permits
Dog
Licenses
The
City of Camas requires that all dogs within the
City Limits of Camas be licensed (Camas
Municipal Code 6.08). The license is good
for the lifetime of the dog – which means
no annual renewal fees.
Lifetime
License - Please bring in Proof of Rabies Vaccination
(the paper certificate given to you by your dogs
veterinarian) and $25.00 in cash, check or money
order. It only takes a few minutes and is the
best protection your dog can have should they
ever become lost and then found.
Replacement Tags – Should your dogs License
Tag ever get lost, just bring in a current copy
of your Dog’s Rabies Vaccination Certificate
along with $5.00 and we will promptly give you
a new tag.
If
your pet has changed owners, is deceased, or if
you and your pet have moved – simply contact
us at the Finance Department (360) 834-2462, and
we will update your dogs record.
Parking
Permits (High School only)
Once application form is received in the Police
Department, vehicle licenses will be checked through
Department of Licensing to assure vehicles are
registered in applicant’s name.
A
Guest Permit is also available for each
residence. If a Guest Permit is reported lost
and a replacement is requested, a fee of $15.00
will be assessed.
Once
the permits are issued, the resident will be required
to sign and date that they have received.

Solicitation
A solicitor license is required by each
individual person who may go “door-to-door”
or do cold calling sales within the City Limits
of Camas as described in Camas
Municipal Code 5.24.
You
can download an application, fill it out and bring
it to the Finance Department along with the appropriate
Investigative Fee. A copy of the individuals valid
Drivers License must be submitted at the time
of submitting application. Applicants must be
fingerprinted at the Camas Police Dept. Investigative
fees are as follows:
$40.00 (Non-Clark County Residents)
$40.00 (Clark County Residents)
After
the Police Department does their investigation
and it comes back satisfactory, the applicant
shall then pay an additional $25.00 for the License
itself.
Solicitor
Licenses will be good only through the calendar
year.

Department from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday.

Special
Events
Special Events
Groups wishing to hold an event on a city street
or sidewalk must first receive permission from
the city for use of the city’s right-of-way.
A Special Event Permit Application can be picked
up at the Finance Department in City Hall for
a non-refundable $25 fee. This application must
be returned to the Finance Department with proof
of the required insurance. Insurance requirements,
conditions, and procedures can be reviewed in

Municipal Code 5.20.

Taxis
All businesses located within the City
Limits of Camas whose service is to provide vehicles
for hire (including Limousines, Taxicabs, Vans)
must obtain a Certificate of Public Convenience
and Necessity. Applications can be obtained by
clicking the link below or by request from the
Finance Department of Camas City Hall. Procedures,
Insurance Requirements and a Fee schedule can

Chauffeurs/Drivers
of such vehicles must also obtain a City License
to operate a vehicle for hire. Applications can
be obtained by contacting the Finance Dept. at
Camas City Hall or by clicking the link below.
Individuals filling out these applications must
submit to fingerprinting, and submit 3 recent
photographs (typically passport picture size of
2”x2”). Applicant shall also pay a
non-refundable fee of $5.00 at the time of turning

Vehicle
Restoration Permit
The
City of Camas requires an individual to obtain
a Vehicle Restoration Permit if it is declared
a public nuisance/junk vehicle (Camas
Municipal Code 8.08) and meets any number
of the following categories:
1)
the vehicle is 3 years old or older
2) Is without a valid current registration plate
3) Is apparently inoperable, or has a fair market
value equal only to the scrap in it, is extensively
damaged (includes but is not limited to: broken
window/windshield, missing wheels, tires, motor,
or transmission).
To
obtain an application for a Vehicle Restoration
