City Permits and Licenses

Business Licenses
The City of Camas does not currently require Business Licenses. However, should you have a business located within your home and your home is located in the City Limits of Camas, you may be required to get a Home Occupational Permit (also called a Conditional Use Permit). For more information on this, see Solicitation. If you are planning on doing any soliciting (door-to-door or cold calling sales) you will need to obtain a solicitors license. For more specific information please review Camas Municipal Code 5.24.

Dog Licenses
The City of Camas requires that all dogs within the City Limits of Camas be licensed (Camas Municipal Code 6.08). The license is good for the lifetime of the dog – which means no annual renewal fees.

Lifetime License - Please bring in Proof of Rabies Vaccination (the paper certificate given to you by your dogs veterinarian) and $25.00 in cash, check or money order. It only takes a few minutes and is the best protection your dog can have should they ever become lost and then found.

Replacement Tags – Should your dogs License Tag ever get lost, just bring in a current copy of your Dog’s Rabies Vaccination Certificate along with $5.00 and we will promptly give you a new tag.

If your pet has changed owners, is deceased, or if you and your pet have moved – simply contact us at the Finance Department (360) 834-2462, and we will update your dogs record.

Parking Permits (High School only)
Once application form is received in the Police Department, vehicle licenses will be checked through Department of Licensing to assure vehicles are registered in applicant’s name.

A Guest Permit is also available for each residence. If a Guest Permit is reported lost and a replacement is requested, a fee of $15.00 will be assessed.
Once the permits are issued, the resident will be required to sign and date that they have received.
