Sep 27   Book 2 Art Club: Bring your art inspired by the book at 6:30 pm! This month's book is Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, by Gail Honeyman. 
Sep 27   Simply Write: A writer's support group. Meetings are every 4th Thursday of the month from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
Oct 2   Page Turners Book Club: Open to 4th-6th graders (and their adult). Sign out a copy of the book, read and join us for the monthly meeting every 1st Tuesday of the month through May. Sign up at the Library & join us at 6:30 each month at the Lacamas Lodge. 
Oct 3   Teen Zine: Join us in the Teen Room for zine, comic, and other paper projects (with snacks!) on the first Wednesday of every month from 4 - 5:30 pm.
Oct 5   First Friday: An opening reception for the new Second Story Gallery artist, featuring live music upstairs in the Camas Public Library from 6 - 8 pm.
Oct 6   Craft-o-Rama: Adults, join us to create a Day of the Dead ornament design from 10 - 1 pm.  
Oct 6   Bee Club: A place to discuss beekeeping techniques, philosophy, activism, and more. Held on the first Saturday of each month from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Oct 8   Storyteller Quilters: Hear about the inspiration and techniques for the quilts on display in our gallery at 6:30 pm.
Oct 10   Literature Discussion- Wilkie Collins: English Literature expert, Elisa Fierro, discusses Wilkie Collins' literature at 4 pm.
Oct 10   Story Explorers Book Club: Open to 2nd-3rd graders (and their adult). Sign out a copy of the book, read and join us for the monthly meeting every 2nd Wednesday of the month through May. Join us at 6:30 each month for an activity & snack.
Oct 11   Local Author Book Launch: Join us for an afternoon of coffee, tea and desserts with local author, Ellie Alexander at 4 pm. 
Oct 11   Forever Young Book Group: For adults who love to read young adult books! Meeting from 6-7:30 pm on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
Oct 17   Lovely Leaves- Club K3: Leaf rubbings, vein tracing and more, for grades K-3rd at 2pm.
Oct 17   Kids Create: The Storyteller Quilters will be here to share their inspiration for their book and then supplies given to create your own inspired quilts at 6:30 pm.
Oct 18   LEGO Club: Challenges & free play every month for all ages on the third Thursday of the month at 4 pm.
Oct 19   Board Game Night: A monthly Friday night opportunity for adults to socialize and play games together from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. Games provided or bring your own. 
Oct 22   Galactic Alliance: Teens come hang out and share your fandom- snacks provided. The 4th Monday of the month at 4:30 pm

  Crochet Club: For all ages, elementary-aged children please attend with an adult. Meets every Thursday from 3:30 - 5 pm in the Teen Room.
  Storytimes: Join us every weekday for storytimes in the library! See our storytime list for times. 
  English Conversation Group: A casual gathering of ESL speakers. 12:30-2pm every Tuesday. 
    Second Story Gallery
   

“Into the Light” Aug. 3 to Sept. 29, Second Story Gallery, upstairs in the Camas Public Library. Two artists and colleagues, Mary Alred and Julie Ann Smith, will display their watercolors and oil paintings for two months.  Opening reception on Aug. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. After, the gallery is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.  360-834-4692 www.secondstorygallery.net.
