Today's unofficial election results from Clark County show that Barry McDonnell has won the City of Camas mayoral race, and that Shannon Roberts has won the Ward 1, Position 1 race. We are wishing Mayor Elect McDonnell and Council Member Elect Roberts the best as they transition into their new roles, and thank Mayor Turk and Council Member Rusch for their dedication to the Camas community.
The election will be certified on November 26, 2019, with a swearing-in ceremony for Mayor Elect McDonnell in the days to follow. Council Member Elect Roberts will be sworn in sometime before the December 2 City Council meeting, as she will be assuming the seat of Council Member Rusch, who was appointed, and will participate in Council proceedings directly following her swearing in.
For their continued service, we would also like to thank the Council Members who were reelected. They will be sworn in for their next terms on January 6, 2020.
Thank you to all who took time to vote! For more on the election, please see www.clark.wa.gov/elections.
