About Us:

The Sanitary Department performs the following:

  • Daily collection and disposal of residential garbage
  • Collection and disposal of garbage from 1 1/2 yard and 2 yard containers
  • Large drop box services are completed by an outside contractor
  • Recycling services are completed by an outside contractor, although the city continues to perform billing

  • Press 1: For information regarding Holiday pickup.
  • Press 2: For other services including dumpsters, missed garbage, setting up new accounts or to request special services such as pick-up of appliances or mattresses.
  • Press 3: To Contact Cal Hittle, the Sanitation Supervisor, or for rollercart maintenance issues.

Other Info:
  • Garbage and recycling services are mandatory for all residential customers inside the city limits.
  • Garbage cans and recycling bins must be curbside by 6:30 a.m. on your regular garbage day.
  • The City of Camas bills bi-monthly. Bills are sent out the last week of January, March, May, July, September and November. They are due by the 10th of the next even month and delinquent after the 18th.
  • Carry-Out Service for persons who are unable to place their container curbside because of age or physical handicap may apply for Carry-Out Service, at no additional charge, in the Public Works Department.
