Operations
Division
Within the Operations Division, there are separate
categories that meet various needs within the
community. These categories are listed below
with a brief description of their function.
Equipment Rental
Equipment Rental furnishes mobile equipment
to the city’s other operating departments
and also maintains equipment not owned by Equipment
Rental.
Sanitary
The solid waste management function provides
for the collection and disposal of refuse from
businesses and residences within the City of
Camas. This function also includes the revenues
and expenses of the city-recycling program.
Streets
This department provides for maintenance and
minor construction of all city streets within
the city limits, street light repair and downtown
mall maintenance.
Storm
Water Drainage
Storm water drainage is a function of the street
department and provides for planning and construction
of storm-sewer facilities, and street sweeping.
Water-Sewer
The water-sewer operation of the city provides
for furnishing domestic water and sanitary sewage
disposal services to industrial, commercial
and residential areas within the city and some
surrounding areas.
Parks
The Parks Maintenance Department is responsible
for maintenance of city parks, trails and open
spaces.
