Book Discussion Groups

Book Discussion Groups
The Camas Public Library hosts two adult books discussion groups; one which focuses on mysteries, Mystery and Mayhem, and the other on general literature, No Two Readers Read the Same Book.

The library offers two book discussion groups for young people; one for 4th graders and up with a parent, Page Turners, and one for teens, Teen Read Café.

We also recommend a link to an online book discussion, Dear Reader.

The library also offers Book Club To Go!, kits including everything you need for a book discussion group all in one box.

Using a Book Discussion Kit

How do I place a hold on a kit?
In the online catalog, choose a title from the list of Book Discussion Kits and click on “Place a hold on this kit,” or call the library and ask them to place the hold for you.

How long can I keep a kit?
A kit is checked out to one book group member who is responsible for all of the materials. The kits check out for 6 weeks and may be renewed if there are no holds pending. Please return kits promptly so they will be available for other book groups.

Where do I pick up and return a kit?
The kits must be picked up at, and returned to the Camas Public Library.

What if a kit is lost or damaged?
If an entire kit is lost or damaged the member who checked it out will be responsible for the replacement cost. If a single book is lost or damaged, you may replace it with a matching copy of the title (new, or used if in clean and readable condition), or you may pay the replacement price.
