You may renew library material if there are no holds pending and you have not exceeded the maximum number of renewals. The Camas Public Library relies on individuals to honor the loan periods and due dates.
There are several options when renewing:
* At the library at a Library Catalog / Databases station.
* Over the telephone with the assistance of library staff.
* With the assistance of library staff at the service desk.
* Via any Internet connection using the Camas Public Library Online Catalog.
Here’s how to renew from any Internet connection using the Online Catalog:
- Go to the Library Online Catalog's My Account. After you get there, you might want to bookmark it or add it to your Internet “Favorites.”
- Enter your library card number and your PIN. Click on the “Display User Information” button.
- Select the items to be renewed by checking the box by the title under Checkouts. Once you have selected the items to renew, click the "Renew Selected Items" button.
- The date due at the far right of each item changes to your new due date. Please note the new due date. Or use the “Go Back” button at the far left of the light blue bar to return to the four choices and click “Review my Account” which will give you a list of materials you have checked out with their due dates, and also a list of items you have on hold.
- Look for the “Help” button on the light blue toolbar (second item from the left) if you need help. Or, give the library a call if you have a problem. Or, the next time you’re in the library, ask the reference staff to show you how to do it. They can walk you through the process at one of the online catalogs.
- Remember to click “Logout” on the light blue toolbar at the left of the screen near “Go Back” when you are finished using the catalog, especially when accessing it within the library.
