Terms like reserve, hold, and request have the same meaning at the library. All of these terms mean that your name is on a waiting list for library material.
You can place holds:
At the library at a Library Catalog/Database Station.
Over the telephone with the assistance of library staff.
With the assistance of library staff at the information service desk.
Via the Internet using the Camas Library Online Catalog.
How you will be notified:
You will receive notice by telephone, mail or e-mail; whichever you have requested. If you haven’t added your email address to receive notices, you are missing out! Get reminders and notices delivered quickly. And without the use of paper or postage which helps the library.
If you no longer need the item, please inform the library and the next person in line will be notified of item availability.
The library will hold the item for you for ten (10) days.
Picking Up a Hold Item
Find your hold near the Circulation Desk on the Holds shelving. Holds are shelved alphabetically by the first four letters of your last name and within that group by the last four numbers on your library card barcode.
In order to protect your privacy, you may checkout only the material requested by you. If you allow another party access to your card or the printed notice, and he or she is in possession of either of these, the library will assume that you have consented to the transaction and that person may checkout the material on your card.
