The City provides its residents with water, sewer, garbage, and recycling service, and bills for all utility services on a bi-monthly schedule. As a result of maintaining and generating billing, Finance Department staff members work closely with water and sanitation staff, and are the primary point of contact for utility customers.
In addition to providing customer service for utilities, the Finance Department also processes all utility payments. With current trends of increasingly automated and electronic payment options, the department has focused in recent years on offering a greater variety of secure payment methods including accepting credit and debit cards and taking payments by phone and via the web.
Customers can pay in person at the Finance Department in City Hall with cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card. Payment can be made over the phone or on the web with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card. Customers can also submit checks or money orders through the mail.
