Parking regulations are strictly enforced in the downtown Camas area. If you have been cited for a parking infraction, payment of the $15 ticket can be made to the Finance Department in City Hall. Tickets are due within 15 days of issuance. Failure to pay or contest your ticket within 15 days will result in the assessment of a $25 penalty.
Unpaid parking tickets are submitted to a collection agency and will incur additional collection agency fees. The Department of Licensing/Department of Motor Vehicles is notified of outstanding parking violations, and a vehicle license will not be renewed until outstanding parking violations are paid in full.
Customers can pay in person at the Finance Department in City Hall with cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card. Payment can be made over the phone with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card. Customers can also submit checks or money orders through the mail. Unpaid tickets that have been turned over to collections must be paid directly to the collection agency.
If you contest your parking infraction, you may request a hearing by filling out the back of the ticket and checking box 2 or 3. If you wish to contest it, but do not have the original ticket, you can obtain a form online or in person at the Finance Department. Please submit the form electronically, by mail, or in person to the Finance Department within 15 days of the date of the ticket. The Camas-Washougal Municipal Court will notify you of the hearing date.
