


Safety and Public Education
The Department provides a variety of safety and public education programs.
Visits to the fire station are a popular activity for children. Visits may be arranged by telephone, (360) 834-2262 x1, and talking with the on-duty Fire Captain.
A Fire Station “Open House” has been an annual event at Station 42 since the station's “Grand Opening” in 2001. The 12th annual 2012 open house and health and safety fair will be held September 22nd.
Department members visit selected grade levels at local schools with a fire prevention message each October during National Fire Prevention Week.
You will often find firefighter's at Camas events, like the Camas Days parade and Boo Bash, and the bay doors open at Station 41 during the Wednesday farmer's market.
Smoke Detectors
