The Fire Prevention Division, is located in City Hall in downtown Camas. The Fire Prevention Division is staffed by Deputy Fire Marshal Randy Miller, who is a certified Uniform Fire Code Inspector. The Fire Prevention Division is charged with the responsibility of fire code enforcement and fire investigation in the City of Camas.
FIRE INSPECTIONS:
The Fire Prevention Division annually inspects commercial, industrial, and public buildings for fire hazards. Fire hazards may be reported to the fire department by calling 360-834-6191.
NEW CONSTRUCTION:
By permit, fire and life safety plan reviews and inspections are conducted on all new construction projects in Camas. Permits are also issued for all fire alarms and sprinkler systems installed in Camas.
HAZARDOUS VEGETATION:
The fire prevention division is responsible for inspecting land that has an accumulation of tall grass or brush.
FIREWORKS BOOTHS:

Camas Municipal Code 15.17.050 requires that new homes have an automatic fire sprinkler system installed.
