Mrs. Gerde has been re-elected to the City Council for a term of January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2011. She has served on the Police Facility Committee, Camas Library Remodel Committee, the West Side Fire Facility Committee, C-Tran, Regional Transportation Commission (RTC), Fire Authority Committee, Financial Policy Committee and has been Mayor Pro-Tem several times in her previous terms as a Council member.

Helen has recently been appointed to the following committee for 2010.
