About our Council Meetings, Council Workshops, Citizen Participation and Contact Information.

As Camas' population grows, there is a need to redraw the boundaries of the City Council Wards. This is to assure that the wards or districts are balanced in population. You may view the ward districting map, which City Council adopted last year. The map was prepared by the County Assessor's GIS (Geographic Information System) section, based on the most up to date information about Camas' population. If you have comments or questions, contact Mayor Dennis, council members, or the City Administrator.

City Council Meetings
City Council Meetings are held the first and third Monday of the month in the City Council Chambers, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas, from 7:00 p.m. until adjournment.

  • Public Comments
At the beginning of each meeting the Mayor asks the audience if there are any items of concern by the public. If there are items the public wishes to bring to council in advance that will take longer than 10 minutes, it is preferred the citizen present this topic to the City Administrator so he can schedule it into the regular meeting.
  • Agenda
An agenda is created for each meeting and posted at the Library, U.S. Postal Office and in the main lobby of City Hall as early as the Thursday before each meeting.
  • Minutes
Each council meeting is taped (a copy can be purchased from the Finance Department for $5 per tape by anyone requesting it following a meeting). Minutes of each meeting are also transcribed, approved by Council and maintained in the Finance Department. These minutes contain general meeting information and record specific actions taken by the Council.
Council Workshops

City Council Workshop sessions are held the 1st and 3rd monday of every month in the City Council Chambers, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas, from 4:30 p.m. until adjournment.

  • The public is welcome to attend workshop sessions, but must refrain from comment until the end of the meeting.
