Christmas Activities Relief Organization Limited
(C.A.R.O.L.)

Help the Camas Fire Department, Washougha Fire Department, and East County Fire & Rescue make the holidays brighter for local families in Camas & Washougal with a donation of canned goods, new toys, or a financial contribution. For over 50 years the fire departments have provided food and gift boxes to assist families experiencing difficult times. The food box contains the fixings for a traditional turkey dinner along with basic staples. C.A.R.O.L. also provides gifts for children 16 and under. Last year 91 families received food boxes along with 221 children receiving gifts.

An item of particular need is gift cards for teenagers to use at movie theaters, restaurants or stores to purchase items like CD's. Donations can be dropped off at either fire department, Station 41 (616 NE 4th Avenue) or Station 42 (4321 NW Parker Street). Check donations can be made out to C.A.R.O.L. and mailed to Station 41.

If your family, or you know of a family needing assistance this year, please contact the fire department at 834-2262 ext. 1 or 3 by December 15th.
