Information

Welcome to the Camas Fire Department home page. The Camas Fire Department provides both fire and emergency medical services to our citizens. CFD personnel also provide emergency medical services to citizens outside the Camas city limits along with mutual aid fire protection to neighboring departments.

The Camas Fire Department covers 14 square miles and 17,100 citizens for fire protection and approximately 80 square miles containing 40,000 citizens for paramedic services. CFD averages approximately 3,000 fire and medical calls annually.

There are currently thirty seven professional firefighters, one deputy fire marshal, one chief, three battalion chiefs, one EMS Captain and two office staff personnel at CFD. All line firefighters are either EMT/IV Technicians or EMT/Paramedics and have high levels of training in fire suppression.

We have three staffed stations, Station 41 in downtown Camas and Station 42 in the Prune Hill area. As a result of partnerships with Washougal and East County Fire & Rescue, CFD is also staffing Station 95 for 24 hours per day. This station is located in eastern Washougal on the corner of 39th St and Evergreen Hwy. Staffing of Station 95 will allow faster response times to medical calls in the area.

Each station contains at least one advanced life support ambulance and either a fire truck or engine. All of our fire apparatus contain advanced life support equipment along with state-of-the-art fire equipment.

Camas Fire Department is the only fire department in Clark County that provides ambulance services. This added responsibility requires our firefighters to be highly skilled in emergency services along with fire suppression techniques.
