Through the development of grant and favored loan opportunities, the City has obtained funds for revitalizing neighborhoods, upgrading streets, acquiring and developing parks and open spaces, building water and sewer improvements, and similar tasks. Recent examples include the Benton Street Neighborhood and Forest Home Neighborhood Projects, the Parker Street Extension, the Traffic Light on NE 3rd Avenue, and open space aquisitions - all of which have received grant funds. Pursuing these funding opportunities is a City Adminstrator task.
