As part of the annual City of Camas (City) Pavement Preservation Program, residents have seen work on several streets throughout the community this past spring and summer. This work helps provide for better driving conditions and extends the life of City streets. As part of this Program, pavement resurfacing projects are scheduled for the week beginning Monday, September 25th, and are scheduled to conclude on Friday, September 29th. Please note this schedule is weather dependent.

Work will be performed at the following locations:

• NE 3rd Avenue from NE Adams Street to NE Dallas Street
• NW 18th Avenue from NW Couch Street to the intersection at NW Division Street

NE 3rd Avenue will be closed completely and traffic will be detoured via NE 6th Avenue. This closure will also have impacts to both Cedar and Birch Streets south of NE 4th Avenue.

NW 18th Avenue work will begin with the excavation and repaving of the intersection at NW 18th and Division Street with traffic being controlled by flaggers. The final overlay will be completed after that work is complete and will require a full road closure and detour via NW 19th Avenue as the City did earlier this summer during the waterline replacement project.

Within construction zones, drivers should be prepared for delays, watch for traffic changes, proceed slowly and be alert to construction workers, bicyclists, pedestrians and other motorists.
