On August 29, a new stoplight at NW 16th Ave. and NW Brady Rd., near Prune Hill Elementary, became operational. The stoplight will help mitigate traffic in the area, as addressed in a required traffic study facilitated by the Camas School District. The District's new Discovery High School opens nearby this fall. The study also indicated that a stoplight at NW Pacific Rim Boulevard and SE Payne Road is needed; the installation of that signal is forthcoming.
Additionally, the City is working on the completion of the design of the NW Brady Road Street Improvements from NW 16th to NW Pacific Rim Boulevard. This project is scheduled for construction in 2019. There will be a two-way left turn lane and sidewalks added as part of this construction.
