Headed to Heritage Park at Lacamas Lake? Here are a few tips for a great visit:
> Get there early and park in the right spot for your vehicle – There are designated spaces for those with a state disabled parking permit, for regular-size vehicles (including SUVs, cars, and small trucks), for vehicles hauling trailers, and for vehicles with or without trailers. Look for signs around the parking lot to guide your choice.
> Do not double-park in the long parking spaces. Vehicles in the same party may not share a long parking space, as this complicates enforcement of parking rules.
> If you see an orange cone or other signage, don’t park there – Off-limits areas include sidewalks, walkways, any and all grass & lawns, the boat-launch loop (unless you’re launching a boat), and the Lacamas Lake Lodge lot (when there is a special-event sign posted).
> Please don't park along the street if your vehicle will be blocking a bike lane, parked on grass, or making it unsafe for a person, cyclist, or motorist to pass by.
> Absolutely no swimming near the boat launch.
> If you're in a non-motorized watercraft (think kayak, stand up paddle board, etc.), don't linger around the boat launch. Paddle and explore all the scenic areas around the lake.
> All dogs must be kept on leash and their waste picked up and disposed of.
> When in doubt, err on the side of safety, responsibility, and kindness.
> Need help or have a question? Look for a City of Camas employee in a safety vest. They’ll be on hand during high-traffic times.
Thank you for helping our Camas families, friends, and neighbors enjoy our parks, waterways, and trails!
